Game Time with Seniors

Overview

We are looking for volunteers to support in the following game sessions with seniors:

  • Bingo (2x/month on Fridays, 10am - 11am)
  • Game Time Session (Weekly on Fridays, 2pm - 4pm) 
    • Includes games such as Mahjong and Rummikub

    Volunteers should be able to commit for a minimum of 6 months. Volunteers will be involved in facilitating the games among seniors, managing logistics and helping in the operations, wherever necessary. Some of these duties include but are not limited to setting up/ tearing down of tables/ chairs.

    Bingo Facilitator

    Overview

    Volunteer Role Description:

    • Facilitate the Bingo with other volunteers
    • To manage logistics and help in the operations, wherever necessary. Some of these duties include but are not limited to setting up/ tearing down of tables/ chairs
    • To actively engage the participants for greater participation
    • To upkeep the cleanliness of the facilities after every use
    Volunteer Requirements:
    • Able to commit to twice a month sessions, min 6 months (Those who are unable to commit to a 6 month period will be considered on a case-by-case basis)
    • Language proficiency: English and Mandarin. Ability to converse in Malay or dialect is not required but would an advantage
    • Responsible, friendly and patient with a passion to care for the elderly
