Join Us as a Care Buddy!

Are you ready to make a meaningful difference in someone's life? We invite you to become a Mental Health Befriender with us! As a Care Buddy, you will play a vital role in fostering friendships and providing support to individuals aged 18 and above who are vulnerable to or diagnosed with mental health conditions. Your compassion and dedication can help transform lives.

Your Impact

As a Care Buddy, your presence will be instrumental in:

  1. Enhancing Social Connections: Help your befriendee build a supportive network, improving their physical and mental wellbeing.
  2. Creating New Friendships: Provide companionship and understanding, allowing your befriendee to expand their social circle.
  3. Facilitating Community Reintegration: Assist in the journey toward reintegration into the community, enriching their overall quality of life.

Commitment:

  • Once or twice per month engagement with befriendee(s)
  • 30min - 1h per engagement
  • Min 6 months commitment

Care Buddy

Overview

Care Buddies will foster friendships as a befriender to individuals 18 years old and above, vulnerable to, and/or diagnosed with mental health conditions. 

As a Care Buddy, your role is essential in:
  • Increasing social connectedness in your befriendee, enabling him/her to improve physical and mental wellbeing
  • Increasing social support through befriending, and creating new social circle(s)
  • Increasing befriendee's reintegration in the community and overall quality of life

Requirements:

  • Above 21 years old
  • Ability to speak dialects is a plus point if your preference is to befriend seniors
  • Min once a month face to face engagement with beneficiary
